Landing System
A landing system is a set of equipment and procedures designed to assist pilots in landing an aircraft safely. It includes various components such as Instrument Landing System (ILS), Microwave Landing System (MLS), Visual Approach Slope Indicator (VASI), Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI), and Runway End Identifier Lights (REIL). These systems provide pilots with information about the aircraft's position and altitude in relation to the runway, as well as guidance on the correct approach angle and descent rate. The landing system helps pilots to land the aircraft safely in adverse weather conditions, low visibility, and at night.
