Quick Access Recorder

A Quick Access Recorder (QAR) is a device installed on an aircraft that records various flight parameters such as altitude, airspeed, heading, vertical acceleration, and control inputs. The QAR is used to collect data for flight data monitoring (FDM) programs, which are designed to improve safety and operational efficiency. The recorded data can be used to identify trends, detect anomalies, and provide insights into the performance of the aircraft and its systems. The QAR is typically a solid-state device that stores data on a removable memory module, which can be easily accessed for analysis.
