Quick Turnaround Time

Quick Turnaround time (QTA) refers to the time taken by an aircraft to land, unload passengers, cargo, refuel, load new passengers and cargo, and take off again. It is the time between the aircraft's arrival at the gate and its departure for the next flight. Airlines aim to minimize QTA to increase aircraft utilization and reduce ground time. A shorter QTA allows airlines to operate more flights per day, which increases revenue. Ground handling, maintenance, and cleaning are also performed during QTA. Efficient QTA requires coordination between the airline, airport, ground handling, and fueling companies.
