Radial

In aviation, a radial is an imaginary line extending outward from a VOR (VHF omnidirectional range) station. It is used as a navigational aid for pilots to determine their position relative to the station. The radial is defined by its magnetic bearing, which is measured in degrees clockwise from magnetic north. Pilots can use a VOR receiver to determine their current position by intersecting two or more radials from different VOR stations. This is known as triangulation and is a common method of navigation in aviation.
