Tiltrotor Aircraft
A tiltrotor aircraft is a type of aircraft that uses a combination of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) and short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities, allowing it to take off and land like a helicopter while also having the speed and range of a conventional fixed-wing aircraft. The tiltrotor aircraft achieves this by using rotors that can be tilted from a vertical position to a horizontal position, allowing it to transition from vertical flight to forward flight. Tiltrotor aircraft are commonly used in military operations, search and rescue missions, and commercial aviation.
