Elevator
In aviation, an elevator is a control surface on the tail of an aircraft that is used to control the pitch of the aircraft. It is hinged to the horizontal stabilizer and can be moved up or down by the pilot using the control column or yoke. When the elevator is moved up, the aircraft's nose will pitch up, and when it is moved down, the nose will pitch down. The elevator is essential for controlling the aircraft's altitude and maintaining a stable flight. It is particularly important during takeoff and landing when precise control of the aircraft's pitch is necessary.
