Supercharger
In aviation, a supercharger is a device that increases the pressure of the incoming air to the engine, allowing for more fuel to be burned and increasing the power output of the engine. Superchargers are commonly used in high-performance aircraft, particularly those that fly at high altitudes where the air is less dense. There are two main types of superchargers: mechanical and exhaust-driven.
