Terminal Control Area
Terminal Control Area (TCA) is a controlled airspace surrounding an airport, established to protect air traffic operating in the vicinity of the airport. It is designed to provide a safe and efficient flow of air traffic in and out of the airport. The TCA is controlled by the approach control service, which provides separation between aircraft and ensures that they follow the established procedures. The size and shape of the TCA vary depending on the airport's traffic volume and the surrounding terrain. Pilots are required to obtain clearance from the approach control service before entering the TCA.
