Terminal Procedures

Terminal Procedures are instructions that pilots follow for the safe and efficient operation of aircraft in the terminal area. These procedures include Standard Terminal Arrival Routes (STARs), Standard Instrument Departures (SIDs), Instrument approach procedures (IAPs), and Airport Diagrams. STARs and SIDs are used to guide aircraft from the en route phase of flight to the terminal area, and from the terminal area to the en route phase of flight, respectively. IAPs are used to guide aircraft from the terminal area to the runway for landing. Airport Diagrams provide pilots with a visual representation of the airport layout, including taxiways, runways, and other important information.
