Tie-downs

Tie-downs are devices used to secure an aircraft to the ground to prevent it from moving or being blown away by strong winds. They are typically made of nylon or polyester webbing and are attached to the aircraft's tie-down points, which are located on the wings, fuselage, or landing gear. Tie-downs are essential for aircraft parked outside, especially during storms or high winds. The number and type of tie-downs required depend on the size and weight of the aircraft, as well as the wind conditions at the airport. Pilots should always ensure that their aircraft is properly secured with tie-downs before leaving it unattended.
