Transport Category Airplanes
Transport Category Airplanes are a classification of aircraft defined by the Federal aviation administration (FAA) for the purpose of certifying aircraft to operate in commercial air transportation. These aircraft have a maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) of over 12,500 pounds and are designed to carry more than 19 passengers or for cargo operations. Transport Category Airplanes must meet strict airworthiness standards and are subject to rigorous testing and certification processes to ensure their safety and reliability. They are operated by airlines and other commercial operators for scheduled and non-scheduled passenger and cargo flights.
