Urban Air Mobility
Urban Air Mobility (UAM) refers to the transportation of people and goods through low-altitude airspace within urban and suburban areas using electric or hybrid-electric Vertical takeoff and Landing (VTOL) aircraft. UAM aims to provide a safe, efficient, and sustainable mode of transportation that can alleviate traffic congestion on the ground and reduce travel time. UAM vehicles can operate autonomously or with a pilot, and can be used for various purposes such as air taxis, emergency medical services, cargo delivery, and more. UAM requires the integration of advanced technologies such as air traffic management systems, electric propulsion, and battery technology, as well as the development of regulations and standards to ensure safety and security.
