VOR Signals
VOR (Very High Frequency Omni-Directional Range) is a type of short-range radio navigation system for aircraft, enabling aircraft with a receiving unit to determine its position and stay on course by receiving radio signals transmitted by a network of fixed ground radio beacons. VOR signals are transmitted on a specific frequency and provide pilots with a radial, which is an imaginary line extending outward from the VOR station, and a bearing to or from the station. The bearing is displayed on the aircraft's navigation instruments, allowing the pilot to navigate along the desired course.
