Wildlife Strikes

Wildlife strikes refer to collisions between aircraft and wildlife, including birds, mammals, and reptiles. These strikes can cause damage to the aircraft, injure or kill passengers and crew, and pose a significant safety risk to aviation. Wildlife strikes are most common during takeoff and landing, but can occur at any phase of flight. Airports and airlines implement various measures to mitigate the risk of wildlife strikes, such as habitat management, bird control programs, and aircraft modifications. Reporting and analyzing wildlife strikes is also important for developing strategies to prevent future incidents.
