Air Traffic Control Towers
Air Traffic Control Towers (ATCTs) are ground-based control facilities that provide guidance to aircraft to ensure safe takeoff, landing, and movement on the ground. ATCTs are typically located at airports and are responsible for monitoring and controlling all aircraft within their designated airspace. They communicate with pilots to provide information on weather conditions, runway closures, and other important information. ATCTs use a variety of equipment, including radar, to track aircraft and ensure they maintain a safe distance from one another. They also coordinate with other ATCTs and air traffic control centers to ensure the safe and efficient movement of aircraft throughout the national airspace system.
