Airline Transport Pilot License

Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is the highest level of aircraft pilot certification. It allows the holder to act as the pilot-in-command (PIC) of an aircraft in commercial air transportation and to receive remuneration for it. To obtain an ATPL, a pilot must have a certain amount of flight experience, pass theoretical and practical exams, and meet medical and age requirements. The training for an ATPL includes advanced knowledge of aerodynamics, aircraft systems, navigation, meteorology, air traffic control, and crew resource management. ATPL holders are responsible for the safety of the aircraft, passengers, and crew, and must make critical decisions in emergency situations. They must also comply with national and international regulations and company policies.
