Asymmetric Thrust

Asymmetric Thrust is the uneven production of thrust between two or more engines on a multi-engine aircraft. It can be caused by a variety of factors such as engine failure, incorrect fuel distribution, or mechanical issues. Asymmetric thrust can cause the aircraft to yaw or roll, making it difficult to control. Pilots are trained to handle asymmetric thrust situations during their flight training. They use rudder and aileron controls to counteract the yaw and roll and maintain control of the aircraft. In extreme cases, pilots may need to shut down the affected engine(s) to regain control of the aircraft.
