Cargo Tie-down
Cargo tie-down is the process of securing cargo in an aircraft to prevent it from shifting or moving during flight. This is important to maintain the balance and stability of the aircraft, and to prevent damage to the cargo or the aircraft itself. Cargo tie-down involves the use of straps, nets, chains, and other devices to secure the cargo to the aircraft's floor or walls. The tie-down system must be designed to withstand the forces that may be encountered during takeoff, turbulence, and landing. The Federal aviation administration (FAA) has established regulations and guidelines for cargo tie-down to ensure the safety of the aircraft and its occupants.
