Tie-down System
A tie-down system is a set of devices and procedures used to secure an aircraft to the ground to prevent it from moving or tipping over due to wind, gravity, or other external forces. The tie-down system typically includes ropes, chains, straps, or cables that are attached to the aircraft's tie-down points and anchored to the ground using stakes, weights, or other suitable devices. The tie-down system must be designed to withstand the maximum wind and gust loads expected at the location where the aircraft is parked, and must be inspected regularly to ensure that it remains in good condition and properly installed.
