Downwash
In aviation, downwash refers to the downward motion of air that is generated by the wings of an aircraft during flight. As the wings move through the air, they create a region of high pressure below the wing and a region of low pressure above the wing. This pressure difference causes air to flow from the high-pressure region to the low-pressure region, resulting in a downward flow of air behind the wing. Downwash is an important factor in the design and performance of aircraft, as it affects the lift and drag of the wings, as well as the stability and control of the aircraft.
