Electromagnetic Waves

Electromagnetic waves are a type of wave that consists of oscillating electric and magnetic fields, which travel through space at the speed of light. In aviation, electromagnetic waves are used for communication and navigation purposes. Radio waves, a type of electromagnetic wave, are used for air traffic control communication between pilots and air traffic controllers. Additionally, radar, which uses electromagnetic waves, is used for navigation and detecting other aircraft in the vicinity. Electromagnetic waves are also used for weather radar, which helps pilots avoid hazardous weather conditions.
