Landing Systems

Landing Systems refer to the equipment and procedures used by aircraft to safely land on the runway. These systems include visual aids such as runway markings, approach lights, and glide slope indicators, as well as instrument-based systems such as Instrument Landing Systems (ILS) and Microwave Landing Systems (MLS). The ILS is the most widely used landing system and provides pilots with precise vertical and horizontal guidance during the approach and landing phases. The MLS is a newer system that uses microwave signals to provide similar guidance. Landing Systems are critical for safe and efficient landings, especially in adverse weather conditions.
