Lighting Systems
Lighting Systems in aviation refer to the various lighting equipment installed on an aircraft to ensure safe operation during all phases of flight. These systems include navigation lights, anti-collision lights, landing lights, taxi lights, wingtip lights, and cockpit lighting. Navigation lights are used to indicate the position and direction of the aircraft to other pilots and air traffic controllers. Anti-collision lights are used to increase the visibility of the aircraft to prevent mid-air collisions. Landing lights are used to illuminate the runway during takeoff and landing. Taxi lights are used to provide additional illumination during ground operations. Wingtip lights are used to increase the visibility of the aircraft during low-light conditions. Cockpit lighting is used to provide illumination for the flight crew to operate the aircraft instruments and controls.
