Reduction Gearbox

A reduction gearbox is a mechanical device that reduces the output speed of an aircraft engine while increasing the output torque. It is typically used in aircraft with high-powered engines that require a slower propeller speed to maintain efficiency and reduce noise. The reduction gearbox is located between the engine and the propeller and is designed to convert the high-speed, low-torque output of the engine into a low-speed, high-torque output that is suitable for driving the propeller.
