Rescue Hoist
A rescue hoist is a device used on helicopters to lift and lower people or equipment during rescue operations. It consists of a cable, a hook, and a motorized winch. The cable is attached to the hook, which can be lowered to the ground or a target area. Once the hook is attached to the person or equipment, the winch is activated to lift them up into the helicopter. Rescue hoists are commonly used by search and rescue teams, military personnel, and emergency medical services.
