Rotation Speed

Rotation Speed, also known as Vr, is the speed at which the pilot begins to rotate the aircraft during takeoff. It is the minimum speed required for the aircraft to lift off the ground. Rotation speed varies depending on factors such as aircraft weight, runway length, and weather conditions. It is calculated by the pilot or the flight computer and is usually indicated on the airspeed indicator. Failure to rotate at the correct speed can result in a runway excursion or a tail strike, both of which can be dangerous for the aircraft and its occupants.
