Spoilers
Spoilers are devices on the wings of an aircraft that disrupt the airflow over the wing, reducing lift and increasing drag. They are typically used during descent and landing to slow down the aircraft without requiring excessive braking or increasing the angle of descent. Spoilers can also be used during takeoff to increase drag and reduce lift, allowing for a shorter takeoff roll. In addition, they can be used to assist with roll control during flight. Spoilers can be either mechanical or hydraulic, and are controlled by the pilot or the aircraft's computer system.
