Stickshaker
Stickshaker is a mechanical device installed in an aircraft to warn the pilot of an imminent stall. It creates a vibration or shaking sensation in the control column, which alerts the pilot to take corrective action to prevent the aircraft from stalling. The stickshaker is activated by a sensor that measures the angle of attack of the wings. When the angle of attack approaches the critical angle, the stickshaker is activated. The device is commonly found in commercial and military aircraft, and is an important safety feature that helps prevent accidents caused by stalls.
