Structural Composites

Structural composites refer to materials that are made by combining two or more constituent materials to form a composite material that is stronger and lighter than the individual materials. In aviation, structural composites are used extensively in the manufacturing of aircraft components such as wings, fuselage, and tail sections. These composites are made by combining high-strength fibers such as carbon or glass with a matrix material such as epoxy resin. The resulting material is lightweight, strong, and has excellent fatigue resistance. Structural composites have revolutionized the aviation industry by enabling the design and manufacture of aircraft that are more fuel-efficient, have longer range, and are more environmentally friendly.
