Ticketing Process

In the aviation context, the ticketing process refers to the series of steps that a passenger must go through to secure a seat on an aircraft. It begins with the passenger choosing a destination and searching for available flights on that route. This can be done through an airline's website, a travel agency, or a third-party booking site. Once a suitable flight has been found, the passenger will then provide their personal information and select their preferred seating. Payment is then made, usually via credit card, debit card, or other electronic payment methods. Upon successful payment, the passenger will receive a confirmation of their booking, usually via email. This confirmation will include the passenger's ticket, which contains important information such as the flight number, departure and arrival times, and seat number. On the day of the flight, the passenger will present this ticket at the airport for check-in. The ticketing process is a crucial part of aviation operations, as it ensures that passengers are properly accounted for and that flights are filled to capacity.
