Winglets

Winglets are aerodynamic devices that are attached to the tips of aircraft wings to improve their efficiency. They work by reducing the drag caused by the vortices that are created at the wingtips when an aircraft is in flight. By reducing this drag, winglets can increase an aircraft's fuel efficiency, range, and lift capacity. Winglets come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and can be retrofitted to existing aircraft or incorporated into new designs. They are commonly used in commercial aviation, but can also be found on military and general aviation aircraft.
