Air Operator
An air operator is a company that provides air transportation services for passengers or cargo. This includes scheduled and non-scheduled flights, as well as charter services. Air operators must comply with regulations set by the governing aviation authority in their country, as well as international regulations such as those set by the International civil aviation organization (ICAO). They must also meet safety standards and have appropriate insurance coverage. Air operators may operate their own aircraft or lease them from other companies. They are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of their aircraft, as well as the training and certification of their pilots and other personnel.
