Buoyancy
In aviation, buoyancy refers to the upward force that is exerted on an aircraft when it is immersed in a fluid, such as air. This force is a result of the difference in pressure between the top and bottom of the aircraft's wings, which creates lift. Buoyancy is a critical concept in aviation, as it is what allows aircraft to fly. Without buoyancy, an aircraft would be unable to overcome the force of gravity and remain airborne. Pilots must understand the principles of buoyancy in order to safely operate an aircraft and make adjustments to the aircraft's altitude and speed as needed.
