Conductivity

Conductivity in aviation refers to the ability of an aircraft to conduct and dissipate electrical charges. This is important because the buildup of static electricity on an aircraft can interfere with communication and navigation equipment, and can even cause a spark that could ignite fuel vapors. Conductivity is achieved through the use of conductive materials in the aircraft's structure and the installation of static wicks on the trailing edges of wings and other surfaces. Regular maintenance and inspection of these components is necessary to ensure proper conductivity and prevent potential safety hazards.
