Control Column

A control column is a flight control device that is typically located between the pilot's legs in the cockpit of an aircraft. It is used to control the pitch and roll of the aircraft by moving the control surfaces, such as the elevators and ailerons. The control column is connected to the control surfaces by a system of cables, pulleys, and hydraulic or electric actuators. The movement of the control column is transmitted to the control surfaces, which then change the direction and attitude of the aircraft. The control column is an essential component of the aircraft's flight control system and is used by the pilot to maintain control of the aircraft during all phases of flight.
