Ground Effect Vehicle

A Ground Effect Vehicle (GEV) is an aircraft that operates close to the surface of the earth, taking advantage of the aerodynamic interaction between the wings and the ground, known as ground effect. This effect causes an increase in lift and a decrease in drag, allowing the aircraft to fly more efficiently and at higher speeds than it would be able to at higher altitudes. GEVs are typically used for transportation over water, as they can travel faster and more efficiently than boats or conventional aircraft. They are also used for military purposes, such as surveillance and search and rescue missions.
