Ground Looping

Ground Looping is an uncontrolled and unintended ground maneuver that occurs when an aircraft's tail or nose swings laterally on the ground, causing it to rotate around its vertical axis. This can happen during taxiing, takeoff, or landing, and is usually caused by a combination of factors such as crosswinds, improper braking, or excessive speed. Ground Looping can result in damage to the aircraft's landing gear, propellers, or wings, and can even lead to injuries or fatalities. To prevent Ground Looping, pilots must maintain proper speed and control during ground operations, and be aware of weather conditions and runway surface conditions.
