Landing Phase

The landing phase is the final phase of flight where the aircraft descends and touches down on the runway. It begins when the aircraft is established on the final approach path and ends when the aircraft comes to a complete stop. During this phase, the pilot must ensure that the aircraft is properly configured for landing, the landing gear is down and locked, and the flaps and slats are set to the appropriate position. The pilot must also monitor the aircraft's speed, altitude, and descent rate to ensure a safe landing. In addition, the pilot must be prepared to execute a go-around if the landing cannot be completed safely.
