Pressure Changes
Pressure changes refer to the variations in atmospheric pressure that occur during flight. As an aircraft ascends or descends, the pressure outside the aircraft changes, which can affect the comfort and safety of passengers and crew. To maintain a safe and comfortable cabin environment, aircraft are equipped with pressurization systems that regulate the air pressure and oxygen levels inside the cabin. Failure to properly manage pressure changes can result in discomfort, ear pain, and even serious medical conditions such as hypoxia. Pilots must also be aware of pressure changes and adjust their flight plans accordingly to avoid dangerous weather conditions such as thunderstorms and turbulence.
