Pressure Distribution
Pressure distribution refers to the way in which air pressure is distributed over the surface of an aircraft's wing or any other aerodynamic surface. The pressure distribution is a critical factor in determining the lift and drag characteristics of an aircraft. The shape of the wing and the angle of attack affect the pressure distribution, which in turn affects the lift generated by the wing. A smooth and even pressure distribution over the wing is desirable for optimal lift and minimal drag. Engineers use wind tunnel testing and computational fluid dynamics simulations to study and optimize pressure distribution for different aircraft designs and flight conditions.
