Runway Threshold
The runway threshold is the beginning of the runway available for landing or takeoff. It is marked by a line across the width of the runway and is usually identified by a set of white arrows pointing towards the runway. The threshold may also be marked by lights, depending on the airport and runway. The runway threshold is an important reference point for pilots during landing and takeoff, as it marks the exact point where the runway begins. The length of the runway available for takeoff or landing is measured from the threshold to the opposite end of the runway.
