Stall Recovery

Stall Recovery is the process of recovering an aircraft from a stalled condition, which occurs when the angle of attack of an aircraft exceeds the critical angle of attack. During a stall, the wings of the aircraft lose lift and the aircraft may begin to descend or even enter a spin. To recover from a stall, the pilot must reduce the angle of attack by lowering the aircraft's nose and increasing airspeed. This can be achieved by applying full power and lowering the nose of the aircraft to regain airspeed and lift. Proper stall recovery techniques are essential for safe flying and are a critical part of pilot training.
