Wildlife Strike
Wildlife Strike, also known as bird strike, is a collision between an aircraft and any bird or animal while the aircraft is in flight or on the ground. Wildlife strikes can cause damage to the aircraft, and in some cases, can be catastrophic. The most common wildlife strikes involve birds, but strikes with other animals such as deer, coyotes, and bats have also been reported. To prevent wildlife strikes, airports and airlines use various methods such as habitat management, bird control programs, and aircraft warning systems. Pilots are also trained to recognize and avoid potential wildlife hazards during flight.
