Re-entry

In the context of aviation, re-entry refers to the process by which an aircraft or spacecraft returns to the Earth's atmosphere from outer space. This process is highly complex and involves a series of critical steps to ensure the safety of the vehicle and its occupants. During re-entry, the vehicle must withstand extreme heat and pressure caused by the friction between the vehicle and the Earth's atmosphere. This is typically managed through the use of heat shields that absorb and dissipate the heat. The vehicle must also be precisely oriented to ensure a safe and controlled descent. The angle of re-entry is particularly important: too steep an angle can cause the vehicle to burn up in the atmosphere, while too shallow an angle can cause it to bounce off the atmosphere and back into space. Once the vehicle has successfully entered the atmosphere, it must then be slowed down sufficiently to allow for a safe landing. This is typically achieved through the use of parachutes or other deceleration devices.
