Roll Axis
Roll Axis is an imaginary line that runs through the aircraft from wingtip to wingtip and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. It is the axis around which the aircraft rolls or banks. When the pilot applies aileron control, the aircraft rolls about the roll axis. The roll axis is one of the three primary axes of an aircraft, the other two being the pitch axis and the yaw axis. The roll axis is important in controlling the lateral stability of the aircraft and is used in various maneuvers such as turns, banks, and rolls.
