Takeoff Distance
Takeoff distance is the distance required for an aircraft to accelerate from a stationary position to a certain speed and then become airborne. It includes the ground run distance, which is the distance covered by the aircraft while it is still on the ground, and the airborne distance, which is the distance covered by the aircraft while it is in the air but still climbing. The takeoff distance is affected by various factors such as aircraft weight, runway length, wind speed and direction, temperature, altitude, and runway slope. It is an important parameter that pilots must calculate before takeoff to ensure that the aircraft can safely become airborne and clear any obstacles in its path.
