Vertical Speed Indicator (VSI)
Vertical Speed Indicator (VSI) is an instrument that displays the rate of climb or descent of an aircraft in feet per minute (ft/min). It measures the difference in pressure between the static pressure from the pitot-static system and the pressure inside the diaphragm of the VSI. The VSI is an important instrument for pilots to maintain a safe and efficient flight, especially during takeoff and landing. It helps pilots to control the aircraft's altitude and rate of climb or descent. The VSI is also used to determine the aircraft's performance and fuel efficiency.
